IBuyALot OnAmazon –
I paid $418 for a 43-inch Sony TV, 2023 model, and for this price, it’s a 5-star TV.
The feet are 28 inches apart, and I am using this a table-top TV, and my table isn’t that wide, so I simply bought legs here at Amazon that attach to the screw holes you’d utilize if you were hanging the TV on the wall. I went with Amazon ASIN B07MZ7M13M … and it works perfectly.
The TV picture is great after you customize the Picture settings to your liking. The speakers are at the bottom, unlike the over-$1,000 OLED Sony models where the sound comes from all over the screen itself. Thus, the small speakers shooting out of the bottom of the TV are not all that impressive. One can fix this by buying a soundbar, of course. For just regular TV programming, like the news or network shows, the sound is fine. There is a setting where you can have the TV try to simulate Surround Sound, so give that a try and see if you hear an improvement to a movie or show you’re watching.
The remote control is okay. It does not illuminate. You have the option to buy an ungraded Sony remote that does illuminate, of course. The factory remote does have the Google microphone button, so you can hold it down and activate the Google Assistant.
If you are looking for a 43-inch TV at a low price, this is the TV to consider.

I received my new TV NOT EVEN 30 minutes ago. Screen is crushed. Looks like a nice tv but I just put it back in the box to return . Can’t give a proper review

I’ve always had a soft spot for Sony electronics. They’ve been a leader in their game for as long as I can remember. This TV is ALMOST perfect, but there are some concerns I have.
First of all, don’t be like me. When I was mounting it to my wall, I took down the old TV and planned on using my old mount for the new one. I was baffled by the fact that the VESA mount had screws in the holes ready to go, but they were too short. What on earth were they thinking? WELL turns out there are standoffs for the VESA mount that my children swiped while I was putting it together. I found them and now it makes a ton more sense.
The TV is exceptionally bright and vivid. I’m very happy with the display. The video has a little bit of that soap opera look to it but you can turn off that setting.
My only complaint, that has me removing one star, is that the google tv interface lags a little bit here and there. It’s not as smooth browsing as my firestick. I wish that weren’t the case.
Also, as an aside, it makes you log in with your google account to use any of the smart tv functions, which is a little much.

Imagen y sonido increíble, mi primera pantalla Sony y me encantó, sin mencionar que el precio no es muy elevado

Minus a few flaws, this TV is a reasonable option for the price range. I have a couple other smart TVs of similar size that were slightly cheaper and I prefer this one over the cheaper ones.
The primary flaws I’ve experienced are with the remote and navigation of the menus; once you’re watching something, it works great. There’s a lot of lag in navigating the menus though, to the point where I’ll click a button the second time thinking it didn’t register the first time and suddenly it’ll catch up and perform the action twice. I’m not sure if this comes from the TV or the remote, but I think it’s both. While watching videos, volume navigation has quite a bit of lag, despite the video playing smoothly. Additionally, there’s been times where I’m on a menu and clicked the “enter” button to open whatever I had selected, and the screen reacted like I’d clicked on it, but it didn’t open until I tried a few more times. It’s functional, but the TV does take a little patience and re-clicking things that didn’t register the first time. During all these issues I had the remote within 10ft of the TV.
Other than that, the TV works well though. The operating system (minus the lag) is straightforward and easy-enough to navigate. Being connected with Google Home helped reduce the number of apps I had to sign into and also let’s me manage the device along with my other Google-connected devices.
The TV setup was easy and let me select all the apps I wanted to install (like Hulu, YouTube, etc). There’s 6 preset buttons on the remote that open Crunchyroll, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, YouTube, and YouTube Music. The shortcuts are nice but I only use 3 of 6 options (and I’ve never even heard of Crunchyroll). I do wish there were some more popular options in there (such as Hulu), but that’s not a huge deal.
The picture quality seems good, images are crisp and framerate feels smooth and consistent as far as I can tell. The sound quality is also fairly good, though obviously can’t compete with plugging actual speakers in. The TV has four threaded inserts for attaching a mount as well as four risers for getting the mount a more useful distance from the back of the TV which was actually a nice addition since I didn’t feel like digging for spacers to attach this to my TV mount.
All in all, the lag when navigating the menus or using the remote is a bit annoying, but once you get past that, the TV works fine and the picture quality is good.
