It works for me , and my simple need, but WELLLLL beyond its capabilities I own a ring peephole camera and it’s absolute trash in quality and video replay and lags and dies so often and everything is trash compared to this !
DO NOT BUY RING PEEPHOLE, just get this promise you will thank me.
I used it on the inside of my window (not outdoors), it was easier for me to set it up like that close to an outlet, and I got the window mount ( not reusable, very sticky) and I blocked the mic with tape so it doesn’t record sound from inside the house.
Nothing compares at this price.
Sometimes it picks up trees as motion but you can submit those videos to help them make better AI!
It has been soooooooo simple and worth every penny for watching over my front lawn from rude neighbors! And resolved my issues!

I live in a condo on a second floor and the Board kept saying they would get security cameras but never did. Meanwhile, during the night, someone came into our very well lit parking lot and cut out my catalytic converter!!! Just mine (apparently Honda Elements are targets..who knew?) Anyway, I was so upset. It cost me almost $2000 to get it fixed. So I decided if the board won’t get cameras…I WILL. So I bought this and it has been the BEST THING EVER! I just prop it in my window (which has a screen that cannot be removed) and it’s perfect. I can have it right up against the screen and still see everything or close the window and it will still be fine through the window AND screen! I have it aimed at the parking lot. I can see the entire condo complex with this thing! Amazing! I can see everything at night! Every time there is motion, it saves a 12 second blip and I can go back and look at them or be notified of them when it happens! I haven’t tried the siren feature yet. All I know is that I finally feel safe after my ordeal of being ripped off. The picture is great. People have noticed it because it has a red or blue light. Which is a good deterrent from crooks as well. Best purchase in a long time. Should have done it sooner!

Fácil de instalar y configurar, la calidad de imágen me gustó. Lo malo es, que no puedes transmitir la imagen de la cámara a una Smart tv.

I’m a professional, and I’ve been using these things all over the place. They’re cheap. They’re versatile. They’re uncomplicated.
The cost point is substantially lower than most of their competition. You can afford to install four of these where you would be able to install a single
. When it comes down to it, you’d rather have more cameras and to be able to replace those cameras more easily. A camera needs to both monitor the general happenings of an area _and_ identify the cause of those happenings. I happily encourage my clients to sacrifice a cheap camera because its last upload to the cloud was a crisp image of the person messing with it.
These are flexible in their application. The option for onboard storage means you don’t need the cloud, if you don’t want it. The option for RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) means these things can be connected to a security recorder not even affiliated with Wyze. The default mount can be torn off with a single Phillips #2 screw, and replaced with a
of
. You can improvise your own mount based on a 1/4″ bolt with 20 threads per inch.
Their simplicity is a strength. The default options allow for mounting of a camera without even penetrating a wall. Looking through footage from one or even a selected subset of your cameras is relatively painless, even over days. Setting these up is easy enough to be done from the top of a ladder. With the appropriate
, you can use a light socket instead of an outlet. Whether someone’s trying to keep an eye on their elderly parents (watching for falls and the like), perimeter security for a house or even a commercial facility, the Wyze Cam v3 is a solid buy.

Esta cámara es espectacular tiene un tamaño perfecto ni muy chica ni muy grande, pero lo mejor es la definición y calidad de video tanto con luz como sin luz y audio, excelente

Easy to setup, works great and the pictures are very clear. Plan to purchase another one in the future.

This choice is hard to beat for the average consumer at the seemingly low price $30 USD, but you can expect to spend more money than just that.
First the good stuff. The camera is small and inconspicuous, and has a very clear image quality, even in the dark. It’s easy to set up; just plug it into a standard power outlet and install the app on your phone. Whatever the camera currently sees, you can see through your phone. By default, it begins actually recording footage whenever it senses motion. The recordings are stored online in the cloud (not in the camera). These recordings are also viewed from your phone, and the camera sends your phone a notification whenever it has sensed motion and recorded something. It can sense motion from pretty far away. It can also capture audio, though the quality is hit and miss and usually very quiet.
Now the sketchy parts. The camera’s night-vision is only “color” if your definition of “color” is restricted to white, black, and grey. If the camera is looking through a window at night, it’s infrared will reflect off the glass and back into the lens, making night-time recording a bust. Better put the camera outside. It also will not function without a wifi signal. When placed outside your house, the camera’s wifi reception can be wonky depending on a host of factors. The camera’s power cord is a rectangular USB which is a pain in the ass to fit through a drill-hole unless you feel like drilling a hole into your wall that’s an inch in diameter. The cord itself is also quite short; maybe 7 feet long at best. Now the biggest buggaboo: you pretty much need to buy their security plan, which is $20 per camera per year. Why? Without said plan, you cannot adjust the criteria for triggering the camera’s motion-sensor (and thus recorded events and motion-triggered notifications). This means you will get a notification on your phone every single time so much as a fart blows past this thing, and even then it will only record for 30 seconds. After that it won’t record anything for another 5 minutes. This helpful cooldown timer means you’ll get the cool 30 seconds of the thief trying to break into your house, but not the the next 5 minutes of him actually doing so and walking away with all your gold-bricks.
The security plan lifts the (totally unnecessary) 5 minute cooldown timer, and allows you to set the camera’s recording trigger to person, vehicles, package, pet, smoke alarm sounds, and a range of other criteria. It’s actually quite good at differentiating between these things. That means you can have it notify you only when it sees people and vehicles, for example. There is also an SD card add-on that is highly suggested. Without the SD card, you’ll have no physical copy of the footage. The SD card also allows the camera to record continuously even without a wifi signal. The card has enough capacity for about 4-5 days of continuous footage, and it automatically overwrites the oldest footage once it’s reached capacity. The card plugs directly into the camera, which means it is vulnerable in the event that the camera itself is damaged or stolen.
Overall, you should expect to spend a total of $45 up front for the camera with the SD card upgrade, plus a recurring payment of $20 a year per camera for as long as you intend to use the thing. This is still favorable for the average joe to other security cameras, which often range into the hundreds of dollars and have much more complicated installation. It’s a great choice for home security, or maybe even a small business. You just have to overcome some shady business tactics and pay extra to avoid planned obsolescence.
