Beginning with The Inner Circle Evergrey started to lose me…Now I’m back, this is a great album.

These guys don’t seem capable of making an average album much less a bad one. There are elements of classic heavy metal mixed with progressions and familiar Evergrey style all rolled into one. Throw in one of my favorite singers of all-time and it’s hard to miss. Songs that start one way and seamlessly finish in another way that don’t seem to be the same song by the time they end and yet are masterfully done and connected. A Silent Arc is a perfect example. It comes off flawlessly as one song and yet ends totally different then how it started. Weightless is a jammer. All I Have is a beautiful progressive edgy tune with wonderful vocals from Tom who sounds as good as ever. A Secret Atlantis is going to be a classic Evergrey song for sure with the style showing through and “hey we old guys can still throw down” sound. All of the songs have a majesty about them and a beauty. The Beacon and The Ocean are the two weakest songs on this offering but are by no means weak. Only 10 songs ? Well yes, but some of them are epic and more than make up for there only being 10 songs. Great follow up to Hymns For The Broken and The Storm Within. This makes three great albums in a row which puts these guys in an elite class. Some of the albums prior were good as well but these guys now can boast of a chemistry that few bands have ever had. Can’t go wrong buying this CD.

I have been following Evergrey for the last 8 years and I have seen them in concert 5 times. Tom and the band are not only musically one of the most talented bands I have ever heard, they are also some of the nicest guys in the business. Each member is more talented than the next and every album in their catalog is a great listen and NEVER gets old. The Atlantic is by far a masterpiece that will not be forgotten and Evergrey will go down as one of modern times most impressive metal bands of ALL TIME!!!

Since the opening note, this cd has been on repeat for several weeks now. It’s the trademark Evergrey sound, but at a whole new level. From the lyrics, to the choruses, to the notes, it has drawn me in and kept me there. It’s still early, but this will easily be one of my top 5 favorite albums of 2019.

Another powerful release from Evergrey. I’ve been listening to these guys for sometime now and they had a bit of a bumpy ride for a few years but they righted the ship and got things back to what makes them such a stellar band. This album takes you on a ride and for me that is what makes a great band great, when they pull you in and drag you along. Definitely worth purchasing for fans, and newbies, if fans of this type of music, will not be let down.

I recently discovered these guys with the particular song off this album, “Weightless”.
Since then, I’ve been blown away by the musicianship; vocals, lyrics and emotional composition of this band. Everything comes together incredibly well with them.

WOW! This is quite simply Evergrey at their best. I would rank this amongst 1 of their best albums to date. They have had a few bumpy rides along the way but now the last 3 releases are topped by this. The overall pace of the album is slower than we have been used to, but, the depth, the melodies, the lyrics and the sometimes dark and melancholy atmosphere that we know and love Evergrey for are in abundance. Never over indulging in overlong solos just perfect in length of time and done is such a way to compliment the song rather than to display technical ability. The whole album has a great balance of guitars and keys and must be said the bass is just amazing. Very high in the mix and adding to the song rather than just being in the background. The drum tone is fantastic as is the overall production. If you are an existing fan this is a no brainer buy if this will be your first time, don’t hesitate, you will not be disappointed. Off to spin it again!!

It’s so unfortunate that EVERGREY hasn’t got the recognition they deserve in the United States! This is music that should win Grammy Awards. What is wrong with the music industry?? This album is Perfection ! Once I put it in my player I couldn’t even skip a track because it immediately grabbed me as a listener. This is the perfect marriage between heavy and melodic. EVERGREY will most definitely be my pick for Album of the Year for me. I’m predicting 2019 is the Year ‘The Atlantic’ made History and EVERGREY is the name that every metal fan shall know ! Thank You EVERGREY for giving us fans such a powerful Gift!

    Grandi, immensi…
