I am a whimp on cold camping nights, so when I got this I was very skeptical. I’ve used basically every sleeping bag rated -0 out there and they have all left me feeling like an ice cube in 30 degree weather. Again, I’m a whimp so it’s more likely me than the bags, but this one blew me away. It is HUGE, so absolutely not for backpacking but it’s almost like canvas so there’s basically no cold penitration and being big and roomy doesn’t make me feel like I’m being strangled by down feathers. I don’t even care that it doesn’t have a hood, I will never go back to standard bags again. Love this

Went to Algonquin last week where it was -25 overnight and I was warm and comfortable in this sleeping bag. I was also in a hot tent where the fire was very very low, so don’t go cold tenting in this bag passed it’s temp limit.
I slept in my mid + base layers on and paired this with my Klymit insulated sleeping pad. The bag is roomy, the double zipper works great, and I love the fleece liner. My partner was even cold in his canvas -37 sleeping bag while I didn’t notice the freezing temps other than at the opening of my bag. It’s not a mummy style, but there are 3 diff cinch points you can use to also try and keep the cold out over your head.
The stuff sack is pretty big, I would only bring this car camping. Getting it back in the bag is a tad difficult, but you won’t spend more than 5-8 min working on it or take the liner out to make it easier
So glad I bought this bag, it’s my new favorite thing. Would def recommend to everyone who loves deep winter car camping.

It’s perfect for the colder months, inside a camper with low temperature settings, not sure about being for the hottest months. It’s bulky, compared to other bags for extreme hikers. Perfect for a camping trip, but I don’t know about backing the Appalachian. It’s super plush, thicker than a dog bed on the market, so much my husky thinks it’s the newest nicest bed she’s ever had. I do think the shell could be waterproof, but it’s not. Inside the fleece liner zips on the same side as zipper with ithe main zipper or disconnected. Half way down there is a Velcro loop to keep the liner in place side to side, so it aligns with the bag mostly. I do not see that lasting long as it could be thicker, but I’m grateful it’s not a zipper or a button to feel. I don’t know about needing the phone pocket at night, but it’s a placed right, and is room for other things, maybe two phones. The fabric is durable, and the quality of thread and zippers is noticeable. I did buy this used, however it came unused brand new in original packaging. Probably one of my better purchases on Amazon, altogether. I have it four stars because I have only had it a few days. In time I’ll update to five if it lasts, with durability, ease of washing, or the like but if it disappoints me, I’ll drop it. As far as the seller goes, they are five stars. They did well to not send me something without any tears or tips or defects on the zipper or something.

great, tough-feeling canvas outer shell material, wish it was on all their canvas sleeping bags.
the inner fabric is soft and tightly woven, so no worries about loose bits catching on things or clothing while inside (also makes it easy to wash and dry, little to no dust-residue as a result of some fabrics naturally unbinding after a wash, i.e. wool, fleece). and the edge-cushions are just so well designed too, they don’t get in the way of the zipper as it reaches the bottom corner of the bag (nor do they force that corner to become concave when zipped shut).
unfortunately for me, it runs a bit too hot for los angeles/bay area/central florida winters), so i ended up returning.
but honestly i feel like this is their best constructed bag, if they made one rated for 35ºF i would definitely rebuy.

We’re rather new to the camping experience, though I’d been warm weather camping previously, now that I have a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout in the family we’re taking on new adventures in colder weather camping. Since I’m of the more frigid variety and find myself shivering in my house when the temperature is set to 70 degrees, I figured I had better find us some cold weather sleeping bags. I did a ton of research and looked through so many different websites. I finally found the Teton sleeping bags as I was trying not to have to take out a small loan or sell my last born child to afford decent 0 degree sleeping bags. I knew that we had a camp out in October which could be cold and after a ton of research, I decided to take the chance of getting two of these Teton Sports Bags with the zipped in fleece. I’m so glad I did. My youngest child ended up stealing my Teton sleeping bag in the middle of the night. She was comfy and cozy like a little sleeping bag thief and slept great. I, on the other hand, was curled up and freezing on the floor of the tent while my son hogged the single air mattress on the other side of the tent. The blankets I had just weren’t cutting the cold and I had pretty much figured I would just lay awake shivering all night but telling myself it was okay (it wasn’t. It was cold, man, really cold!) because at least the kids were warm. I finally realized that because this sleeping bag, laid open, was so large that my son on the air mattress actually was covered with half of the sleeping bag while the other half draped to the floor of the tent that it was possible that I could in under there. I’m not too proud to say that I squished myself as close to the side of that air mattress as possible so I could huddle under the dangling Teton. And it was absolutely amazing, the difference in temperature, immediately. I was warm! Toasty, no more shivering, completely comfortable, warm. I fell asleep and slept the rest of the night. These have to be some of the warmest, best sleeping bags I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a lot of sleeping bags. I’m actually planning on purchasing one or two more in the upcoming year because I love them so much. Now my only gripe, and it’s really a small one, is that there’s no way that I’m ever getting these bags back into that little compression sack. It’s just not happening and I don’t have that kind of time or effort. Instead of fighting the compression sack and losing miserably to it, I just ended up going out and buying some bungee straps. I wrap two straps around the sleeping bag, hook together and done. It makes it easy to carry them around and I can store them when we aren’t using them. Maybe other people will have better luck with the compression sacks but I know my limitations. I don’t have the patience level for that. I don’t want to spend 30 minutes trying to Jenga my sleeping bag back into a bag. I wish it had ties on it like every other sleeping bag I’ve owned. Some nice, stretchy ties on the end would have been a welcome addition, even if they would be removable for those that want to use the compression sack. It would have been nice to have the choice of compression sack or elastic ties attached. But even without the ties, this is a nice and heavy sleeping bag which will keep you warm in the cold weather. I sincerely love these bags. I never tried to zip two of them together but I researched and apparently it is possible. I didn’t have the need to do that yet but we probably will in the future if needed and it’s nice to know that it’s possible to do with these bags. So if you’re looking for a tent camping sleeping bag that will keep you warm, this is your bag. If you’re looking for one to carry hiking, maybe not so much as it’s pretty heavy and bulky, though it would keep you warm if you could figure out how to transport it with you.

I just returned from a 6 night winter camping trip. Overall it wasn’t too cold overnight, but it did freeze each night and snowed twice overnight. The overnight temps were in the high 20’s. What I did like is the inner fabric liner. It’s soft and has a warm feeling. Some sleeping bags have a cold “plastic” feeling when entering. This one, thanks to the fabric liner doesnt. The bag is big enough to move around in, I’m 6′ tall and had lots of space. I’m glad I didnt pick a mummy bag, I feel I would have been too cramped. I did sleep on a cot with a thin memory foam pad. Much better and warmer than sleeping on top of the ground. I’d recommend. The downside would be the carrying bag is pretty small. I was able to get the sleeping bag stuffed back inside, but it’s not easy. A few more inches in circumference would help a lot.

Muy bueno para épocas de frÃo, yo lo uso sin la capa interior y se siente muy cómodo.
Cuesta trabajo volver a meterlo en la bolsa de almacenamiento.

Other than not having a compression bag (or any bag) to keep it clean, this is a great sleeping bag, and it does have the straps to roll it up and keep it reasonably tight. Love the loft in it, kept me super warm in sub-zero temps (not too far below, but most bags rated for sub-zero don’t cut it). No complaints at all, would buy again in a heartbeat.

I’ve used these for 4 car camping trips now and they’re comfortable and warm. To date, these have been a high quality sleeping bag, and I’m glad to have them. We used these down to temps in the low 30 Fs, and they kept our bodies toasty. My head froze though!
