Lattafa Eclaire Eau De Parfum Spray, 3.4 Ounce

When I initially reviewed this I had received it and sprayed it a couple of times and was disappointed. Once I sprayed it a couple more times and let it sink in, I must say I changed my tune. It’s a nice creamy vanilla scent that has moderate longevity. I love that it doesn’t have the woody vanilla undertone that so many of the vanillas now have. Definitely a safe buy for gourmand girlies. Plus the bottle is pretty and feels heavy and luxurious.

My initial blind impression of this Lattafa scent was intriguing—as always with all my Lattafa scents, the unique notes aren’t quite what we’re used to in the States, but after the second wear, I was hooked. The scent has a rich, milky caramel undertone with powdery notes that received instant compliments on date night. Plus, the longevity is fantastic; I wore it post-shower and could still catch hints of it the next morning. The projection and staying power are definitely impressive.

However, I’m giving it 3 stars for two main reasons. First, the price has been climbing as Arab fragrances gain popularity; what used to be $20-30 is now over $50, partly due to TikTok and IG hype. Second, the spray spout on my bottle arrived defective—leaking and making it tough to apply without dripping on my clothes. I noticed similar reviews from others abt the spray spout being defective and hoped my bottle would be fine, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. Great scent, but quality control on the bottle is lacking!

This delicious fragrance is soft and subtle. I layer it with chocolate and Phlur coconut skin and Eos Vanilla Cashmere. The coconut is what has me hooked, and the longevity is 8 hours plus. If you love to smell like a snack, buy it, Queen.

Okay, so I really can’t believe I’ve waited this long to write a review for this perfume because it has become such an essential part of my daily routine that it feels like I’ve been using it forever. But let me backtrack for a second and tell you how this all started.

Well, that was me with this perfume. At first, I was skeptical because, let’s be real, there are so many fragrance recommendations online, and it’s hard to know if something will actually live up to the hype. But I kept seeing it, again and again, and the way people were describing the scent just made it sound irresistible. Everyone was talking about how it smells so good, lasts forever, and how they couldn’t stop getting compliments. So, of course, my curiosity got the best of me. Instead of purchasing it from TikTok or through a link, I decided to check Amazon and see if I could find it there. Spoiler: I did, and it was a great deal!

When it arrived, I was excited but still cautiously optimistic because, you know, sometimes products don’t always live up to the hype. But the moment I sprayed it, I was blown away. Seriously, I cannot describe how amazing this perfume smells. It’s the kind of fragrance that hits you with this perfect balance of fresh, sweet, and a bit of something mysterious and deep. It’s not too overpowering, which I love because I don’t like when a perfume is so strong that it gives me a headache, but it’s also not one of those scents that fades after an hour. It’s just right.

I’ve never had a perfume that lasts as long as this one does. I put it on in the morning before I head out, and by the time I get home in the evening, I can still smell it on my skin and clothes. It’s amazing how long-lasting it is without being overwhelming. I’ve even had days where I can still catch a hint of it the next day on my clothes! It’s like this scent just lingers in the best possible way, and that’s not something I can say for most perfumes I’ve tried before.

And then there’s the compliments. Let me tell you, every single time I wear this, someone compliments me. I’m not even exaggerating. Whether it’s at work, running errands, or even just hanging out with friends and family, people always ask, ‘What are you wearing?’ or ‘You smell so good!’ It’s honestly one of the best feelings, and it makes me love the perfume even more. It’s definitely become a conversation starter, and sometimes I’ll get into these long talks with people about where I got it and how they need to try it themselves. It’s seriously that good!

I’ve been using this perfume for several months now, and I’m still just as obsessed with it as I was the first day I tried it. The bottle has lasted me quite a while, but I already know I’ll be ordering another one soon because I never want to be without it. I use it almost every single day, and it’s become my signature scent at this point. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without it—it’s perfect for literally any occasion. Whether I’m going to work, out for a casual day, or dressing up for a special event, this perfume just works. It feels so versatile and timeless, which is hard to find in a fragrance.

If you’re someone who’s still on the fence about whether to try this, let me just tell you: stop thinking about it and buy it. You will not regret it. I’ve tried so many different perfumes over the years, but nothing has come close to this one. It’s the kind of scent that makes you feel put together, confident, and just really good about yourself. And I love that it doesn’t break the bank either—definitely worth every penny!

Okay, a few things: First, it took months to receive this perfume and once I received it the bottle was a mess. The paint on the bottle was peeling and flaking off, it just looked completely banged up. Second, when I first spray this perfume all I smell is rubbing alcohol. I almost sent it back because of this BUT once I let it dry down for a few minutes it smells like the most decadent vanilla dessert. I have worn this several times now and EVERY 👏🏼 TIME 👏🏼I get told I smell amazing. The last time I wore it a girl stopped me to tell me I smelled so intoxicating. If you like gourmand perfumes then you need to try this one.

I own many fragrances, many high end niche or luxury brands and some easy and affordable sprays. Out of all I’ve sampled, this is easily one of the best bangs for your buck. Smells absolutely delicious. Interesting enough depth and layers to not smell generic, but pleasing enough to be a safe choice for many settings. It projects well and lasts longer than many of my fragrances that cost 5x as much. I’m loving it, and would definitely recommend.
