Looks great, is comfortable and goes well when dressing for the office. It has a few watch face options and some faces offer limited customizability but not as much as I’d like. The e-ink display works well but is slow, it only updates once every few minutes unless you do something like flicking your wrist or going into a menu. That’s fine though, this is a watch/jewelry item first and a smartwatch second.

For fitness stuff, it tracks walking distance and steps fairly accurately and the heartrate seems solid. It fails miserably with the calories burned calculator. It thinks walking 1 mile equals 800 calories for a 6’2″ 200 lbs man. Real number is more like 120-140, depending on what source you believe. For a laugh, I set my weight to 100 lbs and it still thinks I burn 200 calories per mile, maybe I’ll try setting it to 50 lbs.

For non workout features, it has a timer, stopwatch, shows text messages and emails for outlook, whatsapp and sms. It has two customizable push buttons to act as hotkeys for whatever you want. I have them set to the stopwatch and music controls. There is also a long-press (non-customizable) for the bottom button to pull up notifications. Notification text is easy to read btw, the watch does text well.

The app could use minor improvements but all in all, I am glad I bought the watch on fire sale after Fossil announced it was exiting the market. All of the reviews panning this watch are a bit ridiculous – of course an eink display is going to be ‘slow’ – that’s the tradeoff for great battery life! The display is clear and the hands are luminescent to allow time checks in the dark. The only strange thing is the 2-tap gesture to illuminate the display is not reliable, leading to a bit of frustration.

This watch is a great balance between a traditional watch and a smart watch. I prefer it over my Samsung galaxy watch 3. I can get all the notifications I actually care about and filter out the ones that I don’t want. I can get the data I actually care about with the fossil app: heart rate, O2 saturation, steps, sleep, calries burned, activity time, date, time, etc. I think for what this product is all the health and fitness data is adequately accurate. The battery life is amazing. It lives up to its 2 week reputation. I’ve had it on since 01/10/24 and it just now hit 41% with moderate to heavy use. This was a big draw for me purchasing this product. If you are after a more hybrid smart watch that gives you some fairly accurate health/fitness data, has battery life beyond two days, and looks good take a chance on this watch. You won’t regret it. 24mm Barton watch bands also work quite well with this watch if the standard bad is uncomfortable for you.

Big improvement over my Garmin Vivimove HR. Really like the E ink display customization, quality and the battery life is as advertised. Nice looking watch too.

I love this watch. I’m not the type that needs to be inspector gadget with my watch. Just need the time and ability to discretely see my messages in a meeting without touching my phone. This does that. The extras are great for health monitoring, but aren’t too much. The analog watch hands work great and are integrated well with the apps. Bluetooth connection and app set up was a breeze with my Samsung Z Flip 3. I’ve had this watch for 14 days now and even with the extra usage for set up and familiarization, the battery is still at 56% since the original charge.

These cords are not built to be sturdy, and there is so much confusion over what fits what. I ordered this on a hope that it would work, and sure enough it did. The original that came with my watch had four charging pins (almost a duplicate on the other side) while this only has two, but it works great on my watch.
