Very good USB to C cable. It’s well made and not flimsy. The length is perfect and holds up nicely to the abuse I put it thru. Fast charging is not a problem with my phone or other devices.

Initial quality seems legit, but only time will tell the tale of durability. Overall happy with the product thus far.

One notable feature that sets this apart from other micro usb power cords is the nylon(?) braiding sleeve external the wire insulation…. Seems tough, and less likely to fail due to being pulled or chewed by a pet… BUT this outer braid also makes the cord significantly less malleable to contours of say, a desk, one may wish to traverse. Meaning, this cord wont bend as tight and crazy straw as normal ones… so it won’t tangle easily- which is good, but it also means it has to make wide turns. It almost feels like the braid could KINK if you bend it too hard. (I could be wrong, I didn’t try.) But if you want to route it permanent and low key, you might be happier with the standard Powerline cord. No braid, tighter bends, lower profile. This being said, I’m happy with this one for in a vehicle, or throwing in a bag to travel.

I have BOTH the Powerline+ and the standard Powerline cords. The Plus for travel durability and the standard for stationary use because it hides better.
The two models are almost identical, the Plus just adds the extra braid insulation. Both have the same reinforced ends, quality of construction seems exactly the same, and micro usb plug ends lock in solid, the physical connection actually seems BETTER THAN OEM.

However, both cords are also alike in my only GRIPE about them…
The BODY around the micro usb end is THICKER THAN MOST OEM micro usb plug ends. For most people, this won’t matter.
If you have just a thin silicone sleeve on your device, or no case at all, you’ll be fine. Stop reading and order the cord. Even those with most standard device cases will probably not encounter any trouble. They sell a lot of these.

But if you have a HEAVY DUTY drop-protective, weatherproof, crushproof, fallout shelter type case, YOU MAY NEED TO MODIFY THIS CORD or remove case to charge/link.

A heavy duty case (Otterbox, Pelican, Griffin, Gumdrop, etc) may not allow for the micro usb to plug in straight, or at all…. because this cord has more meat around the the male micro end, and heavy duty cases tend to have tighter, non-conformable clearances around ports. I encountered this with a Griffin Survivor case on a Samsung tablet. Your case may accept this cord just fine! … but I had to modify for my application.
I filed down the top side of plastic at micro end by clamping a flat file to a workbench (or tabletop) then evenly, carefully, running the plug end side to side. If you do this, be very careful not to let the male micro tip touch the file, and don’t file too far. I kept checking to see if it would make full insertion yet, but needed to remove quite a bit. Filed a notch about a 1/2″ back and was able to take off HALF of the thickness above the micro, at that point, I could see a shadow of innards. Time to stop filing.

Now it plugs in like butter on an english muffin.
    mmm… I gotta go.

100% recomendado.

With Anker you can always expect a quality product. The micro USB connection can often fit loosely and drop connection, which may be fine when just charging a battery but when powering a device solely on that cable it needs to be sturdy which I why I use Anker. Super simple packaging, not wasteful, easy to plug and unplug while remaining stable. Performs well even for moving the plugged device. The cable is thick and tangle resistant. All around great product.

I love Anker brand items as I always feel it is made of good quality. This one comes with a cute little case, almost like a key pouch to allow for you to store the cord. Seems like it will last much longer than the cheap plastic cords for a USB.

Listen. Shopping for cables sucks. My husband and I use A LOT of charging cables for A LOT of different products. When enough cables broke to finally affect our quality of life, I knew I had to buy some new ones. But I definitely did not want to pay those ridiculous “on-brand” prices. So I searched on multiple websites including Amazon, studying all the features, reviews, prices, etc. Naturally, that took forever (I’m sure you all know this feeling). Another month went by. In January 2020, I finally decided on some Anker cables – 3ft to charge my phone and tablet pens at school/work/home, and 6ft to charge my husband’s phone at home. I would have bought more, but I was skeptical. The cables are heavily braided, look great, and come with somewhat-unnecessary-but-appreciated travel cases. Well, guess what. A few days ago, my husband told me that his 6ft cable stopped charging his phone and actually started draining the battery power. We tried the cable on my phone, swapped out the wall plug, tried on different walls and ports, and finally concluded that despite looking pristine, the cable was defective. I contemplated buying a new cable, knowing that I may have to waste my time to search for a new brand to try. But I remembered Anker’s product warranty service. It was surprisingly simple. I followed the link from my Amazon orders page to Anker website, read the instructions, filled out a form, and attached my Amazon receipt and a photo of my cable. I got an automated email right away, asking to reply with “Yes” for service. After I replied, I got an email from a customer service rep who apologized for my inconvenience and informed me that they just sent out a replacement cable. They asked for my patience, as with COVID-19 going on, the shipping may be longer than the usual 7-10 business days. GUYS IT GOT HERE IN 2 DAYS. It’s a brand new cable with a brand new packaging, and it charges perfectly. Now, I don’t know if I initially got a dud or Anker products are just not that durable, but I’d buy their products again with this level of customer service and efficiency. HOW DO THEY EVEN MAKE MONEY? I’m going to check out the rest of their products now. Try the cable, and it you hate it, just return it to Amazon.

    –Last Update–

Well, here is is the tail end of April, a really long time after Anker sent the replacement cable, and it’s still working as if it’s brand new. 100% recommended.

    –Yet another update–

Welp, anker followed through and sent another cable to me (it arrived a while ago, their shipping was pretty fast). It’s been working much more reliably than the old one (which still works as long as it’s propped on something). So, yeah, the previous cable was a dud, this replacement sure isn’t though. Thumbs up, they get 5 stars.

    –Update–

A couple days after I posted the original review below, anker contacted me and offered to send out a new cable. I’m raising my rating to 4 stars alone because of that, talk about good customer support.

    ———-

I was hoping that I would be able to write a 5 or 4 star review for this cable. I’ve owned multiple anker products, including an astro 10000mah battery, a powecrore 26800 battery that’s kind of replacing the astro as my main pack, and 2 6ft powerline micro USB cables. All of them, even If I haven’t reviewed a couple, deserve at least 4 stars, if not 5 stars. This cable is the first anker cable I’ve not been fond of. The quality of the cable itself is really good. The braiding is top grade stuff, and the type a end you plug into a wall adapter or a computer is very nicely built too. Plus the case is definitely nice. The micro USB end though… well, after under a month of use, it’s already got a case of old -cable-idus. I need to prop it on an object and sometimes push it quite hard into the USB port to get it to charge. This might be fine if this were a dinky cable but it’s not. And just to clarify, I tried this on multiple devices with the same issue. Both of my regular powerlines have lasted much longer, in fact both are still in service. Kind of disappointing. Who knows, maybe I got a dud

I like anker products and this cable is no exception, sturdy and charges relatively quickly.
